This site is set up in honor of my father, Edward John McGory, and my mother, Lillian Anna Eicke McGory. I am Gerald Edward McGory, the eldest of Ed and Lillian's ten children. This site is set up especially so that all of Ed and Lillian's descendants (and there are many of us) can stay in touch since each year the family seems to be more scattered around the country. I would certainly be glad to hear from any other relatives, family friends or anyone interested in geneaology. You can contact me at gmcgory@earthlink.net


I have traced the McGory side of the family back to my greatgrandfather, Edward John McGurry (1838-1914) who left King's County, Ireland, and came to America in 1854. He married Frances Doyle, and their children were: Mary A., Sarah, John Edward, Margaret, Ellen F., Eugene, and Frances.
The picture you see above is Mom, Dad and me taken sometime in 1932.

John Edward McGory was my grandfather. He married Fannie Maria Fletcher, and their children were: Edward John (my father), Sybil Etta, Charles Fletcher, Eugene Robert, Mary Agnes, Laurence Harold, John Francis, Margaret Helen, and Sarah Alma.
